Manga Monday: Black Cat by Kentaro Yabuki

This week I’m covering a favorite series of mine, Black Cat by Kentaro Yabuki.

Plot Synopsis: Chronos, an organization bent on world peace, rules one third of the world’s economy. To maintain the balance of the world, Chronos is therefore essential, and there is a need for people to protect Chronos. Thirteen special elite assassins each possess unique orichalcum-forged weapons and are called the Chrono Numbers, assassins who work for Chronos. When the thirteenth Chronos Number Train Heartnet, also known as the infamous Black Cat, meets a Sweeper (licensed bounty hunter) named Saya Minatsuki.

Plot: The plot is amazing and is quite good, I actually wish this series had lasted longer, but than Yabuki would never have made To Love-Ru.

Characters: Train is a joy to read as are the rest of the characters.

Art: The art is quite good, although not quite as good as Yabuki’s later works like To Love-Ru.

Overall: If you like action series read this one.

For those who like: Action, Redemption Stories, Shonen Jump series, Adventure.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.
