TNT: Almadianos Eiyuuden Volume 01 by Takami Ryousen

This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m back with another Light Novel series. It’s Almadianos Eiyuuden Volume 01 by Takami Ryousen!

Plot: The plot is pretty good, although it takes the Isekai and Tensei genres in a rather new and interesting way. Instead of taking a character from Earth we get an all powerful character from some random fantasy world who is so bored that he ends up hitching a ride in the head of one of his other incarnations in another world. The fact that he ends up being ignored half the time by said incarnation is just half the fun. That being said this does have a more romantic bent from what I can remember so if you don’t like your action and adventure novels having that you will not enjoy this series.

Characters: Bernst and Kurats are the leads, with Bernst being the old man who is hitching a ride and Kurats being his incarnation. Kurats is kind of a dolt though. That being said Lunaria is probably my favorite character, if only because she’s the somewhat sensible one. The rest of the cast is fun as well, but Lunaria is my favorite by and far.

Overall: A fun series at least thus far from what I’ve read in this single volume alone.

For those who like: Isekai, Tensei, Action, Adventure, Harems, Fun Plot, Varied Cast of Characters.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above.

TNT: The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 127-151 by Kumanano

This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m back with the sixth set of chapters in Yuna’s adventures. It’s The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 127-151 by Kumanano!

Plot: This arc is pretty awesome, it deals with Yuna and her exploring more of the world and acquiring a Mithril knife for Fina. It’s a pretty fun set of chapters and actually deals with a loose plot thread that was mentioned in the very first chapter.

Characters: We get to meet some new characters although they aren’t that interesting sadly. That being said Yuna still is my favorite character in the series and she kicks a lot of ass in this arc.

Overall: A great set of chapters, and a fun story arc.

TNT: Praise the Orc Chapters 160-190 by Lee Jungmin

This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’ve got the penultimate set of chapters in Crockta’s journey. It’s Praise the Orc Chapters 160-190 by Lee Jungmin!

Plot Synopsis: Having returned from the North a victor and even more famous, Crockta now is on a journey to stop the atrocities that his fellow players are committing, while not even knowing the truth behind Elder Lord. His quest for answers has given him some that he didn’t even think was possible, but now that he has them he knows what he must do.

Plot: This is a really solid set of chapters and while it’s not the climax of the story, it does set up the events leading to that. I won’t spoil anything else, frankly I feel like I already have said too much.

Characters: We get a few new faces, but mostly it’s old familiar faces we are dealing with. Tiyo and Crockta are still my two favorite characters, and these chapters just cement that opinion I have.

Overall: This is a series that’s worth reading, while not being absolutely spectacular it’s pretty darn good.

TNT: Praise the Orc Chapters 121-160 by Lee Jungmin

This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m covering the fourth set of chapters in Crockta’s quest for answers to questions. It’s Praise the Orc Chapters 121-160 by Lee Jungmin!

Plot Synopsis: Having learned the truth behind Elder Lord, Ian has resolved to find his own path as the Orc Crockta in truth. However he still has a war to win against the Northern Orc chieftain Calmaheart…

Plot: This set of chapters is where the plot gets quite interesting, with the revelation about Elder Lord having just occurred and Crockta having to fight in the Northern war. I won’t go any further into that to avoid spoilers, but I will say that if you’ve stuck with the story though this point you are over halfway done with the story.

Characters: We get introduced to quite a few new faces, but also some old ones. Still my favorite is Tiyo.

Overall: A really solid set of chapters, Praise the Orc is hurtling to the finish line!

TNT: Everyone Else is a Returnee Book 06 by Toika

This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m covering the sixth set of chapters in Yu IlHan’s adventures. It’s Everyone Else is a Returnee Book 06 by Toika!

Plot Synopsis: Having adopted a dragon as his son, Yu IlHan has set up his armor and weapon shop Vanguard that sells equipment to those who helped him out during prior events, like Kang MiRae and her group. But the storm is only intensifying and what is coming towards Earth is something even Yu IlHan wasn’t expecting to happen….

Plot: This is a fun set of chapters, mostly because it really sets Mir up as a badass in his own right. I won’t say much other than that, because it would really be too spoilerific.

Characters: Mir was probably my favorite character in this set of chapters, although MiRae and YuNa were great as well.

Overall: The story has really taken off now, and the ride only continues to get more intense from here on out. If you aren’t reading this series yet, you really need to do so.

That’s it for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday.
