TNT: The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 127-151 by Kumanano

This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m back with the sixth set of chapters in Yuna’s adventures. It’s The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 127-151 by Kumanano!

Plot: This arc is pretty awesome, it deals with Yuna and her exploring more of the world and acquiring a Mithril knife for Fina. It’s a pretty fun set of chapters and actually deals with a loose plot thread that was mentioned in the very first chapter.

Characters: We get to meet some new characters although they aren’t that interesting sadly. That being said Yuna still is my favorite character in the series and she kicks a lot of ass in this arc.

Overall: A great set of chapters, and a fun story arc.

TNT: The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 104-126 by Kumanano

This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m back with more of Yuna’s adventures. It’s The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 104-126 by Kumanano!

Plot Synopsis: Having traveled over, and than back through, a mountain to the Seaside Village of Mireera and resolved multiple issues in the town and it’s waters, Yuna is now relaxing back in Crimonia. But now that’s she’s back she’s hungry for some new things….

Plot: This is just more of Yuna being Yuna, by which I mean she does whatever the hell she wants.

Characters: We don’t get a bunch of new characters this time around, mostly it’s just Yuna doing as she pleases.

Overall: A fun, but not terribly new set of chapters. Thankfully this is the only lull thus far.

TNT: The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 75-103 by Kumanano

This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m back with the fourth set of chapters in Yuna’s journey to do as she pleases. It’s The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 75-103 by Kumanano.

Plot Synopsis: Having traveled to the royal capital and back Yuna is now ready to buy a shop in Crimonia. Will she be able to bear the weight of responsiblity?

Plot: I’m sorry for that pun, I just had to do it. It was unbearable to ignore such a perfect opportunity. Oh I did it again? Absolute coincidence I say! Now to get to this set of chapters, it’s a fun set. It covers Yuna and her quest to do as she pleases in some pretty awesome new ways. There is one particular scene where the bloody bear shines.

Characters: We get quite a few new characters, but honestly my favorite is the guild master in Mireera. Still the star of the show is Yuna.

Overall: A fun arc. Nothing absolutely spectacular or intense plot wise, but that has never been the appeal of this series.

TNT: The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 51-74 by Kumanano

This week for Translation Necessary Thursday I’m back with another set of chapters in Yuna’s daily life in another world. It’s The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 51-74 by Kumanano!

Plot Synopsis: Having dealt with various troubles in the town of Crimonia, Yuna decides to go visit the royal capital. She decides to take along both Fina and Noa, Cliff’s Daughter. What new things will Yuna encounter on the way to and in the royal capital? God only knows, and he’s probably laughing his ass off…

Plot: This set of chapters continues the trend set in the prior two arcs, Yuna does whatever she wants and looks ridiculous and cute while doing it. The Bloody Bear may or may not make another appearance…

Characters: We get quite a few new faces in this set of chapters, but it’s tons of fun like everything else this series has.

Overall: Another excellent set of chapters in the adventures of Yuna, doing whatever the hell she wants.

TNT: The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 1-26 by Kumanano

I’m covering a series I’m rather fond of for this week’s Translation Necessary Thursday. It’s The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma Chapters 1-26 by Kumanano!

Plot Synopsis: Yuna, a 15 years old girl started playing the world’s first VRMMO. She has earned billions of yen in stocks. She confines herself in her house playing the game without going to school. Today, a huge update has arrived. She obtains a non-transferable rare bear outfit. But the equipment is so embarrassing that she can’t wear it even in the game. Furthermore, when she answers the survey regarding the new update and relaunches the game, she appears in unknown forest in a bear outfit. Where is this? Email from God? Different world? If she wears the bear outfit she’s completely overpowered, but if she takes it off she’s a normal girl. Her adventure starts just like that, with Yuna doing as she likes.

Plot: This is an incredibly laid back series, and honestly a great change of pace series for those who are swamped by various action packed novels or games. This is probably one of my favorite Light Novels just for that quality, not to mention Yuna is a bad ass girl who is crazy smart. While most Isekai novels have male leads who go off to defeat the “Demon King” or the like, Yuna just doesn’t give a shit and does what she likes. Sort of like the honey badger, but way more adorable.  The fact that she’s pretty much stuck in a Bear Onesie is just icing on the cake.

Characters: This is a story completely centered around Yuna, and she’s the star of the story. That’s not a bad thing, as she’s a rather awesome lead character. That being said the rest of the cast is just as fun, and Fina is probably my favorite side character. That or the guild receptionist.

Overall: A hilarious and laid back read. If you want a good change of pace or just a good laugh, The Bears Bear a Bare Kuma is just the thing for you.

For those who like: Isekai, Fantasy, Magic, Overpowered Lead, Awesome Female Lead Characters, Fantastic Plot, Great Cast of Characters. Oh and Teddy Bears.

Not for those who don’t like: Any of the above. But how can you hate all that? Like really, what are you? A monster?
